Dr Who? Cyber-Spoiler pt2

Im hoping not to make this a habit, but I did make a special effort to watch Dr. Who - part 2 of the Cybermen episode.

I was disappointed for the following reasons.

(a) the ending of the episode was extremely predictable, having already discovered how to destroy the cybermen (via the emotion inhibitor), the remaining 20 minutes of the episode played out exactly as expected.

(b) the obvious cost involved with the costumes overwhelmed the limited plot, which required embellishment to make it watchable

(c) the episode also had nothing new to say

(d) the cliffhanger ending of episode 1 was cast aside, almost forgotten

I hope this is the last time I comment on the series, as generally it is watchable, clever, entertaining and well acted. Im surprised how quickly Christopher Eccleston has been forgotten.

2 Muses on Star Wars

1) Darth Vadar is the only Jedi NOT to lie to Luke.

i) "Ben" Obi Wan Kenobi consistently lies to Luke about his father, his heritage, how his father died and even hides his real name. Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru knew what they were talking about. They hid the truth from him to protect him, Ben hid the truth to USE him to fuel the rebellion.
ii) On arrival at Dagobah, Yoda fucks him around relentlessly instead of training him. He is lazy and just tries to find excuses to not teach him.
iii) Vader, on first meeting Luke, tells him of his true parentage.
iv) When confronted with the evidence, Ben tries to blag it by saying what he told Luke was true from a certain perspective. You liar! His pants should have ignited right there and then!

2) Having watched IMPS The Relentless, you quickly realise the rebellion is just that, a rebellion. A group of insurgents and terrorists basing their actions on a old religion! Kinda reminds you of the Al Qaeda of today!
