I havent done anything much with the comic strip other than update and re-write a couple of sections. I have managed to try a few strips out on Facebook and it seemed to generate a few smiles. But sadly not enough to get me to do anything further with it.
I have access to all the graphics and software I need to produce this, and there are even websites geared around to helping authors make this happen.
Well we shall see.

Robocop - The Remake
I finally got around to watching the remake of the original 1987 film, Robocop. What made this film unique was that it was the first remake I have ever watched of a film that I actually gave a damn about.
The original film is darkly humorous and one of my top 3 films of all time, along with Aliens and Platoon.
While the remake doesnt get too much wrong, it failed on the key areas that made the original special.
It had no humour, it didnt seem to have a dark side to it. It attempted to play to the current status quo rather than hark back to the corporation themes of the original. The was no blood, no gratuitous and unnecessary violence.
Put simply the film had nothing new to say. I quite like the change in focus from the original script and focus more on the family side of things, but Peter Weller will always be Robocop.
